Centering
Measures how far the print is offset from dead-center on all four sides, the same left/right and top/bottom ratios PSA and the other companies grade against.
Surface
Tilt the card under a simulated raking light to catch scratches and print lines that are invisible straight-on, and mark what you find.
Corners
Zoom into each of the four corners and trace the actual rounding against a factory-fresh reference curve.

How accurate is the predicted grade?
Gemline measures the same things a human grader looks at and applies each company's published grading standards to the numbers — it's a prediction, not a submission. The actual grade a card receives is decided by that company's own graders and can differ, especially on close calls or anything Gemline's camera-based measurement can't catch, like authenticity or print quality. Treat the report as a strong second opinion before you decide whether to send a card in, not a guarantee of the outcome.
